A shining star eclipsed by her demons, now she is gone leaving behind a young daughter let’s remember her positives and the legacy she left behind.

Personally, and for my family, she will forever be remembered. I was five month pregnant when we immigrated to the UK. It was a bitter sweet time for us and I daily played Whitney Houston songs – her voice and her music soothed, encouraged and uplifted me. When my daughter was born, as a tribute I named her Lamees Whitney.

Surprisingly or maybe not, Lamees is a very good singer, the best in our family and she can hit some amazing notes.

Whitney Houston might be gone but her music and their memories will live forever, RIP!
