Come on Labour do the decent thing!

Alan Johnson amused himself yesterday by talking about patriotism, and, how unpatriotic it is of Lord Ashcroft to not pay UK taxes on his non UK earnings while he sits in the Lords. Not forgetting of course Ashcroft’s ultimate sin, supporting his party financially, which you’ll be forgiven to think Labour Non Dom peers never did…..or did they?!!!!

His words stayed with me especially as they brought great joy and excitement to the socialist lefties judging by the comments on the social media pages. But, wait a minute, doesn’t Patriot mean a person who is devoted to and ready to support or defend his country? Then it must mean – a patriot is someone whose love of county and willingness to sacrifice for it, is selfless and noble!?

Seeing as our beloved country is at it knees with debt and lack of aspiration as a result of 13 years of mismanagement and a disastrous leaderships. Our gold was sold on the cheap, what’s left of our industries is in two minds whether to stay or set up elsewhere where their hard earned money works for them and not the other way round. At the thought of a hung parliament the Sterling took a noise dive and the whole City of London – the financial hub of this country – is on alert.

If that does not spell out “We– do– not– want– Labour- again” with or without a limping partner, I don’t know what does!

Won’t the patriotic thing in this occasion, be to own up to the damage you caused and stop try spinning your way out of trouble. The decent thing will be to just come clean and acknowledge the mess and the devastation you created. The patriotic thing will just be to resign!
