As the terrorism threat increases and changes in nature, therefore adding further pressures to our security forces, and with the UK treat levels at severe, which means a terrorist attack is highly likely, it seems the time is now right for our government to visit and implement an election pledge.

On page 79 of the Conservative Party’s “Invitation To Join The Government Of Britain” – the party promised to “Protect our Freedom” by repealing the current Human Rights Act and replace it with a UK Bill of Rights. That coupled with clawing back the EU’s hold on our sovereignty should allow the government to better monitor and control possible future attacks form both existing and emerging potential terror.

Particularly as the current waves of possible attacks are expected form traditional terrorism assaults as well as cyber and biological attacks. This morning, the Home Secretary, Theresa May stated, that keeping the UK and its citizens safe is no longer about traditional defence methods any more.

With four different threats to fight off, it is definitely time to up our game!

Sorry, but how will repealing the HRA ehance our safety? Under both Labour and the Torys suspects were arrested and held w/o knowing the charges. The only way to get round this was to go to the European Court. Or do you mean that you want it easier for the UK to lock people up who maybe look a bit Muslim, w/o interference from dodgy, foreign judges
