Is Labour back tracking in regards to the expulsion of Phil Woolas!?

A couple of days ago deputy leader Harriet Harman was adamant that there is no future for Mr. Woolas as a Labour MP even if he succeeds in overturning the ruling because lies had “no place” in campaigning – very admirable words.

Now we hear that Ms Harman’s decision has angered the Parliamentary Labour Party – so much so some have said she is not “we”. And, now they want her to step down from her post as deputy leader!!

Whether Labour is getting cold feet or Ms Harman did jump the gun – it makes them losers for yet again the Labour Party has ignored the public mood – and failed to see beyond their own personnel gratification.

But are we surprised – this is the party that beliefs “Phil Woolas is innocent until proven guilty yet Andy Coulson is guilty until proven innocent!” the party that beliefs, “One rule for them and another for everybody else”

On the other hand, President George W. Bush admitting, in his memoirs “Decision Point”, that he has approved weatherboarding (a simulated drowning interrogation method) has set the whole country on fire – and I am positive most the talk will be about the wrongs or rights of its use. But what I found significant is the president’s openness and frankness, and do admire him for not hiding behind spin and speaking the simple bare truth.

He is a winner for his candour for owning up and for standing his ground!
