A Sudan foreign to me!

Growing up the Sudan I knew was kind, welcoming, and compassionate. What this Youtube footage shows is a sadistic, barbaric country that drives pleasure from publicly humiliating its people.

I have no idea what this poor woman’s crime was – and honestly don’t even care. Public humiliation might have been a deterrent some 1500 years ago. But in the age of Youtube and mobile videos it’s just cruel degradation. If that’s what the government of Sudan does publicly one wonders what they get up to when no one’s watching.
