Everybody needs a good Friend....,

Lucky for “Not Flash – Just Gordon”, he has two very good friends! Mandy who this morning – on the Andrew Marr Show – was defending the undefendable when he said “Gordon is just demanding and does not take no for an answer…..” not very true, according to the serialisation of Andrew Rawnsley “The End of the Party” new book.
Apparently Mr. Brown’s character is fiery and volcanic and at times he can be down right abusive – not at all you’re typical demanding over achiever. These stories about Brown blazing anger and doing a Naomi (Campbell) by throwing objects at staff when things don’t go his way – have been doing the rounds for a while now – but what’s alarming and totally unacceptable is the extend of this abuse and the need to be warned by a chief civil servant – for terrorising junior staff – now that kind of behaviour is worrying and warrants professional help.
Another chum is *Alan Johnson, who said that never in his life has he seen or heard Mr Brown even lose his temper or raise his voice, Hummm!!
The timing of this book – so close to an election- is bad by all measures. But denying what’s in it is even worst. As for its relevancy, it is very relevant because the public deserve to know the character of the man who is and has been at the realm of our country for the past thirteen years; twelve of which as the Chancellor of Exchequer – presumably the one man who knew the true state of our economy – and now for the past year and a half as Prime Minster. Only when we know the man and his temperaments will we understand his actions, and the answer to why this country – with all it wealth and potential has been hit the worst, and stayed the longest in this recession!
Brown and Labour can no longer hide behind the “he is a private man” banner when it suites them any more, he did “the politics of celebrity” on Valentine’s Day with Piers Morgan – tears and all – therefore, his private life is no longer private. As for personality, that is what we have been hearing about even before he became prime minster. Brown’s personality and his character became the central issue the day Tony Blair branded him the “Big Clunking fist” of Labour and the prime minster himself has continually reminded us that he is the right leader for this hour and the only man with the substance to do the job.
*To all my friends please take note; this is the kind of loyalty I expect from you if and when I get into office!
