The Ten Cannots!

Mandy’s response on this morning Labour press conference covered by the Evening Standard HERE is all what’s wrong with the Labour project – this type of behaviour used to be the reserve of minor (I am dying for a mention at any cost) parties, but it seems desperate times needs desperate measures!

To Labour and all those who don’t seem to comprehend the basic fundamental of human nature I give you an old favourite – the Ten Cannots – by Reverend William J.Henry Boetcker :-

You cannot bring prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot help small men by tearing down big men.
You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.
You cannot help the poor man by destroying the rich.
You cannot establish security on borrowed money.
You cannot further brotherhood of men by inciting class hatred.
You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than your earn.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away man’s initiative and independence.
You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves.
