What a day!

Today has been a very busy and peculiar day but nevertheless a good day. I had a delivery that neither went to plan nor was on time. As a result my day started off balance and I ended up playing catch all day long.

I had an article on Immigration posted on ConservativeHome (very proud) thank you guys (J and my hero – could not have dreamt of a better timing – love you guys).

But my proudest moment came when my daughter gave me a more than usual big hug this afternoon (usually queue that something is the matter) so I asked her if everything was OK!?
It was – she just wanted to thank me for being a fair and open minded (her words not mine) mother. Apparently amongst her friends she is the only one who is NOT expected to have the same political views as her parents’ (well I do pray on that one) but ‘I believe if you teach them well and trust them they will turn out OK!’

Like my parents, I have given my two girls all the facts as I know them – but I also encourage them to search for answers by reading, debating and asking questions.

Lamees will be voting on her first General Election and she is very excited about it. She has been reading the manifestos of the three main parties and is going to blog about her findings (her idea).

So watch this space – what a great day!
