Did Diane Abbott needed to play the race card?

Since education is the back bone of most families, communities and societies I clearly understand where Diane Abbott is coming from. And let’s be frank here, without a good education even Ms Abbott would not have reached and achieved all she did. Of course there are those who make it to the highest pinnacle without any education and many state educated have reached very high positions too – but both are the exception and not the rule!

A quick look around and the evidence speaks for itself, take politics for instance, the front benches of all three main parties are littered with highly educated members. One look at the Labour leadership contest and they are mostly Oxbridge educated. So for Ms Abbott or any parent wanting the best start for their child private education is the obvious option. If we are being honest until today our state education is not all that good. Hence the large drive of revamping the current system and allowing parents to form their own schools.

We all understand and appreciate that she wanted the best for her son but did race had to come into it? Wanting the best for your child is every parents desire.
