When the exception is the rule!

Hanging out with friends last night I was shocked to find out they were on neither Twitter nor Facebook, because an organization they belong to have an unwritten unspoken rule to not take onboard anyone who use either!

As an avid user of both, I would like to see them reconsider their rules and maybe put some guidelines of acceptable etiquette/use for members of their organization.

Also a word for those of us who easily and without any inhibition embrace these tools and new technologies, we need to remember that in some spheres we are totally the exception and not the rule! We too need be accepting and understanding that many people out there regard us somewhat freakishly.
