Should the Scottish Tories & LibDems join forces?

The unpleasant news that the Tory support in Scotland has fallen is upsetting. As a Conservative, of course I want us to win right out come the next general election – but winning right out can not happen without winning more Scottish & Welsh seats.

However, I am ‘just upset’ because our Coalition partners, despite Labour’s extensive efforts to destabilize them, seem to remain stable – and that is good news.

Obviously, Liberal Democrats’ stability is vital for the coalition but more for the country. And because of that, despite my personal feelings, I think it will be a good idea for the Tories and the LibDems, in this occasion, to do a deal for next May; it will strengthen the liberals’ position up north therefore keeping them happy down south. Plus putting country first, will in the long run win the Tories more seats.
