Could Pakistan “possibly” be the most corrupt Nation, today!

Judging by the news we read, yes, it sadly is! At a time when the focus should be on humanitarian aid and assistance, all we hear and read about is game fixing, aid donations going into officials’ pockets – the rich keep getting richer of the back of this crisis while the poor and the needy just perish!
One can’t help but wonder, does anybody in Pakistan actually cares about what happens to the country? I am not talking about the weak and helpless who have no power or means of influence. I am speaking about those who are well traveled and well connected, those who when the going gets tough can up and go at a moment’s notice. I am talking about the self styled, self appointed leaders and those who are entrusted with managing and representing the country and helping her people. Do they actually care, and if they don’t, then, why!?
It seems the level of corruption is so high and goes so deep, and what’s more; it is no longer hidden or a secret.
The west, needs Pakistan, for reasons all too clear and obvious, to be and stay stable. However, before that can happen the country needs to sort it self out internally, because, with the best intentions, the west and the international community have, giving aid and support that continuously ends up in the wrong hands, will have an adverse effect and its repercussions will be grave.
