RIP Teresa Lewis!

Execution is barbaric regardless of the crime and the mental state of the offender.

If the President of the United States of America can annually pardon a turkey for Christmas and in particular this president who received a Noble Peace Prize, before he even passed one law or achived one thing, how is it that he can’t pardon a mentally challenged grandmother?

According to the laws of Virginia, she was mentally fit. Her IQ was above the minimum (albeit barely).

The facts are that a person declared mentally fit hired people to committ a double murder. I don’t think that is worthy of a pardon.

As for having capital punishment, I think that is something worth having a substantial debate about.
