The Town

Since Martin Scorsese, The Departed (Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Mark Wahlberg and Martin Sheen), I have not seen a movie that one, made me want to go back straight away and watch it again and two, shout about it form the roof tops.

However unlike the Departed, The Town does not have the big box office names, with the exception of Ben Affleck and Jeremy Renner (Brian Gamble, the rogue cop form S.W.A.T.) its cast are virtual unknowns – but it has a vividly written script, fantastically acted and brilliantly directed.

This film is a dark drama about a robber ringleader (Ben Affleck) who finds love and …….., I rather not ruin it for you! What I can tell you is it has something for every taste, family, honour, friendships, and humour and of course romance with a tasteful amount of action.

Affleck has definitely out done himself. He co-wrote the screenplay, directed it and played the lead character (Doug MacRay). And definitely deserve three Oscars one for each and a forth for best movie.
