Jack is Back!

Call me what you want but I am so excited about the return of 24. Jack Bauer is back and I am a very happy bunny. I hope Sky continues to show 2 hours every week. This way I at least have three month of escapism and some much needed excitement. And anybody who thinks my excitement is OTT childish, immature or whatever, think again!

I mean honestly, what else is there to get all excited about this week? As a country we get into recession before everybody else, fell deeper than anybody else, and then stayed there long than everybody else. Not only that – to ‘Get Out’ of the recession – we borrowed more (per head) than anybody else. So, I am supposed to get all excited because we barely got out of the recession! Don’t get me wrong, I am ‘usually’ a very positive person – but can not help wondering if somebody has made a mistake, I hope not – but 0.1% is not that much.

Please, please do not make this partisan or about party politics; because it is not, it is not at all about that. It is about the gloomy reality of where we are today– at the edge with a deep hole right under our feet that we barely just crawled out off, and I am very concerned that the smallest jolt might tips us right back into it!

Getting excited about day 8 is a sure bet, at least with 24 and Jack Bauer, I am 100% guaranteed three to six month of exhilarating action with a very happy ending and I highly recommend getting hooked on it.
