A little Sun goes a very long way

Was going to post on Dale Farm today but went out before doing my research and was sucked in by the Sun and its glory. Thanks to my BlackBerry I didn’t fall too behind – but feel very uplifted and though to leave you with this;

“Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. Love the people who treat you right and forget about the ones who don’t. Believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance take it, if it changes your life let it. Nobody said life would be easy. They just said it will be worth it.”

Have been living with this motto for so long I’m not even sure when or where I first came across it, but it’s my gift to all of my readers; hope these words give you the same joy, serenity and fortitude they daily give me.

Try to get some Sun today, it’s good for the soul!

A little more sharing!

Sharing 3

Another strange day with lots to talk about but little I feel talking about. So, and if you don’t mind, I shall share a couple of my favourite quotes with you. Both are by the same great person. I heard them some twenty plus years ago and good thing I did when I did – because they were very timely.

The first in my humble opinion is a classic and should be used by everybody – everyone, young or old, rich or poor, abled and disabled should adopt it as their lifestyle.

“Unless a person has a mountain to climb his spirit will die”

The second, equally profound,

“Only when you have been in the deepest valley, you can ever know how magnificent it is to be in the highest mountain”

Both by Richard Milhouse Nixon

Just feel like sharing.

Posted 3 Jun 2011 by Walaa Idris

My mother always told me: “If you have nothing good, nice or worthwhile to say then say nothing at all.” It took me years to use that advice, not from lack of hearing or understanding it but because I didn’t want to or as my girls put it, just because….!

However, like most things in life either from experience or by osmosis my mother’s advice did sink in – and I daily employ it in almost all aspects of my life, including this blog. Everything I write comes form my heart, with conviction and I hope is worthwhile – and because of that, there are times when nothing grabs me, like today.

So I decided to share some more wise words that had an equally profound effect on me and served me well through the years, hope you find them useful.

“If there is any one secret of success, it lies in the ability to get the other person’s point of view and see things from that person’s angle as well as from your own” – Henry Ford
