Labour can do without Bullygate,

Posted 22 Feb 2010 by Walaa Idris

Mr. Mandelson’s firm yet unfounded accusation earlier today – that the National Bullying Helpline boss – Christian Pratt – has spent the weekend being coached by CCHQ press staff will only escalate this Bullygate further.

So far the only relationship between the Conservatives and Ms Pratt is that two Tories happen to be patrons of her charity. One has openly and publicly condemned Ms. Pratt’s behaviour – for breaking the confidence she swore to uphold by confirming that workers from the prime minster’s office has contacted the charity – but that is the extend of that relationship.

For Mr. Mandelson or any Labour member to make more of this relationship is just adding fuel to a fire they do not need alight.

If this matter is to be put to bed, and if as he said; “the government had better things to do than chase up “every rag-tag and bob-tail rumour” that came its way” – he better act accordingly – because from where I am standing he looks and sounds just like a big bully who wants to control the situation, but can’t.

Ho crap does he think CCHQ is? She was rubbish on Radio 4 today, all day! If she was coached it was by the Eddie ‘the Eagle’ Edwards of political communication!

Sorry my replay is later than it should have been. But yes, that was the attitude 48 hours ago. Where is he now, after the Darling’s “Forces of Hell” comment.
