Winners and Losers ~ June 16, 2010

BP is a winner for putting aside $20bn for the damage caused by the Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico – and for the heartfelt apology offered by its chairman to the American people and all those who are affected by this catastrophe. Let’s hope now the company will be left to do the job it needs to do to fix this disaster.

The loser has to be Spain – not only were they marked to win the World Cup – they lost to Switzerland [who until today I didn’t even realise have qualified] – oh well you win some and ……!
