Its time for candidates to chillelax!

A big thank you to Jonathan Isaby for his article on candidates this morning, it has opened the debate and got the ball rolling with a positive outcome before noon. However, as eager as everybody might be – it is still early days. The dust has barely settled on the election and the Coalition, and the Emergency Budget is not even a week old!
Going by some of the Tweets; a few MPs have yet to be given offices or phone lines in parliament. Which makes you wonder does the leaving MPs take their office and the phone lines with them when they go – but that’s another matter all together? Any how all this just proves it is too soon to make any major decisions now. Because a lot needs to be sorted before laying the foundation for the new crop. Especially as some of the candidates who fought seat this election have been nursing them for some years and they will need some ‘normal’ down time before they decide on their next move.
Furthermore with five years to go, the new boundary changes, and the strong possibility of an elected upper chamber, there is loads to be done ‘properly’ before jumping back on the selection train.
