A Good News Day!

First it was David Cameron’s announcement that our troops will be back home from the war before 2015. The aim is for Afghanistan to take full self-control by 2014. This announcement is the most fitting tribute to our servicemen and women in Armed Forces Day.

The second was the news that Theresa May will on Monday take the first step towards monitoring and controlling immigration in the UK. She will announce a temporary nine month limit of 24,100 for non EU migrants to be followed in April by a permanent cap. The numbers for the finial cap will be reached via consultation, and although this news was not welcomed by everybody it is the first time the UK is addressing and doing something about this most serious issue.

The two announcements usher a welcome change from 13 years of irresponsibility and deterring it is refreshing to see a government in action and delivering in its promises in under 100 days.
