Winners & Losers ~ July 12, 2010

There is one obvious winner – congratulations to Spain for winning their first ever World Cup!

At the risk of sounding heartless – which I am NOT; Angus Moat, Raoul Moat’s brother trying to take advantage of his brother’s death makes him a loser. Put aside the fact that they have been estranged for several years. Raoul Moat’s death would have been a public execution had it not been for the seven days manhunt and the several hours standoff that terrified and disrupted the community. The police, patiently, gave Raoul every opportunity to stand down and hand himself over yet he chose not to and opted to take his own life. It is very distasteful when family members try to capitalize from adversity!
