Britain & the USA are partners!

During a visit to Washington DC, last month Mr Cameron described Britain as the junior partner of the USA during World War II – which rightly, has angered many people in Britain. The original comment was followed by a Downing Street spokesman saying the PM had not intended to case an offence.

However, today the Prime Minster said he was “absolutely wrong” to describe Britain as the “junior partner” to the United States in the fight against the Nazis in 1940.
