In 2012 London will be a Conservative hold!

Listening to Oona King & Ken Livingston last night, on LBC I have to say unless a third candidate surfaces, Labour is in big trouble.

Oona came across passionate, as someone who loves people and wants to help and improve their lives, she also sounded more organized and prepared than Ken, which could work against as much as for her. But she also seemed to be very rigid and stubborn. Being an MP for one constituency is not the same as working with 32 different local authorities. Listening to her, she seemed unable to work with people who don’t agree with her. Throughout the programme she was shouting her point across, never yielding to others, although that is one of her traits, long term it will not do her any favours.

As for Livingston, he is still Ken, and this campaign, with a few exceptions, is an extension of the last one. He hardly said or offered anything new. However, that could be his weapon, but form what I heard last night, in London, Labour is in trouble. For even a sliver of a chance they need a third candidate, not necessary a new face but someone who can handle Boris without screeching at the public or worst, putting them to sleep.

Ken’s “wizard wheeze” appears to be to sue the Government for making cuts! So….Let’s get this straight Mr Livingstone….You’d spend thousands of pounds we haven’t got on lawyers’ fees?

Nice one! claps hands slowly
