Open letter to those who don’t like/can’t stand/get frustrated with my English!

Posted 4 Nov 2010 by Walaa Idris

Dear people with good English,

First let me start by thanking you for all the time and the effort you give to my work. Your endeavours and continued support is truly heart-warming and greatly appreciated. Secondly, you are not alone. I, myself is not all that crazy about my English either – but you know what? Its mine!

It sucks sometime, and I am sure it has cost me a few dear things through the years, but I have learned to live with it and work around it. Nevertheless, I will not allow it to hold me back or slow me down, never did in the past, nor do I intend to in the future – however, I can promise you to continue working towards improving it.

For those of you, who genuinely care and want to help me out, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, and THANK YOU and please, please continue!

As for those of you who want to use my faults and mistakes as a weapon or a tool to belittle or ridicule me, thank you for pointing out my errors, after all learning begins by knowing. And BRING IT ON!

Either way I ain’t going nowhere!

Walaa, your English is better than my French, also my handwriting is atrocious. While I would never say that punctuation/grammer are not important, so is content…that’s what keeps me & others coming back to your blog.

Hi Walaa,

It’s been a few days since I’ve looked at some of my RSS feeds and this blog entry really stood out because of how much it surprised me.

Apart from the occasional word, your English seems to be fine. If anybody has been over the top with criticism, you should just ignore them.

We you think you have problems! As you know, thanks again btw. Of course your not going to give up because of your use of English. Carry on I have never really noticed.
