Nick Clegg has delivered a fact based speech that was full of details, that could have benefited a little from more emotions – similar to the kind he showed during the leaders’ debate – nevertheless it was suitable for this particular time.

Especially as some of the delegates are unsure of whether this is their once in a life time opportunity to be in government or the death of the party they love, here Clegg was masterful in delivering a Jerry Maguire “Help me help you.” moment!

However, one sentence summed all for me – “If we had turned away, how could we have then asked the voters to take us seriously?” and that’s one fact liberals need to get on board with.
