My head is full of questions today!

It is interesting how the Alternative Vote [AV] opposition is gaining momentum. Some LibDems see this as reneging on a promise; but it is not, both leaders were very clear that it’s a Coalition agreement rather than a party political issue and Cameron even went as far as saying he will not campaign for AV.
Many voters, me included, feel there is nothing wrong with the current [First Past The Post] system and see no need for it to be changed – and it makes sense, why fix what’s not broke.
However, it is a Coalition promise and as such it should be honoured, but what will happen to the Coalition if the majority of the house votes against holding a referendum? Will the LibDems use this as a reason to walk away or seek other means to increase their share if the votes?
I blogged a few days ago about Bernard Jenkin’s EDM 613 HERE, at the time 44 Conservative backbenchers signed it but the number has since increased to 54 and is steadily growing.
My question is why are we changing how we vote when clearly the real issue is why most of us don’t even care to vote? Shouldn’t we first educate and encourage people to values and use their vote!
