Should Livingston still present on LBC

Is it appropriate that Ken Livingston, who is now running for Labour’s Mayoral candidate, to have a platform on LBC 97.3 for hours to talk to Londoners about his achievements and his intentions for the office of Mayor?
Although, he is not attacking the current mayor directly, he is constantly bringing up his achievements and – in through Labour style – what he was going to do had he been allowed a third term. The only thing missing in his constant subtle self promotion is ‘Vote for me’!
I know he is not the Labour candidate but shouldn’t there be a clause to not talk about and discuss particular issue and topics if you are running for that office while presenting programmes on LBC?
I would love to know if LBC have clauses that Livingston broke, or is it okay by them for Ken to self publicise.
