Jailing Michael is wrong!

Handing George Michael, an 8 week custodial sentence for driving under the influence of a class C drug is wrong on so many levels; it is costly and will unlikely rehabilitate him. At almost 50 years of age, he turned 47 in June, George Michael is a man with a habit. Locking him up for a few weeks and fining him a few pounds will not make that habit go away nor will it rehabilitate him.

Might our judicial system thought a little outside the box, and handed Mr Michael a shocker, something along the lines of one year community service and going into rehab, no fine, just pay fees and for the damage he caused. Something that will really get under his skin and shock him into wakening up, and make him consider changing his way, would have been more appropriate!

I was one of his crunched female fans when he came out, and still love and enjoy his music, I also find it sad to read about his continued run-ins with the law, but still feel he deserved something harsher, never mind hitting his pockets, what he needs is a real jolt and a wakeup call.
