Winners & Losers ~ June 28, 2010

Today’s winner is Diane Abbott MP. Appearing on Sky’s Sunday Live yesterday without any make up on [not even the obligatory mascara and lip gloss] makes her a winner and a role model. Not many women, of any age, would have risked appearing on a High Definition TV screen without full slap on. Hat Tip for having the guts to do it.

The loser is everyone who thinks the England team is not devastated by their performance in this World Cup. We played badly and therefore lost badly – we must learn form it but also get over it and build on from what we’ve learned. Changing the coach every time we lose is costly and reactionary. It is very obvious that something is wrong with our team. Because, as individuals they are outstanding yet they fall apart as a team and it will be wise to find out why. Playing the blame game will not change a thing, but it will most definitely destroy what little confidence they have left.
