Good bye yet at the same time a Hello!

Sadly Velvet Rock Limited, my brain child, the property services company that I ‘accidentally’ founded in 1997 and incorporated in 2000 and has been struggling since the middle of 2007 is now on her death bed.

My love for property and all things Real Estate has helped me turn a hobby and something I enjoyed doing for family, friends and friends of friends into a lucrative business that gave me the freedom to raise my then young family and make a good living.

But since the middle of 2007 contracts has dried up and it cost money to even keep it as a shell corporation.

As a natural hoarder letting go of anything, not to mention something that holds lots of sentimental value for my family and I is very difficult. But my ailing baby has been on life support for the best part of three years and now is vegetating, I have been advised by the best specialists (Chris & Chris my accountant and my financial adviser) to do the decent thing and turn off the life support, and let Velvet Rock go with dignity.

It feels like losing a child but I shall focus on the future, which is always bright and full of good and unexpected surprises. It also means now I am free for either employment, or creating new businesses, and enterprises.
