I agree with Nadhim!

Nadhim Zahawi MP has today introduced HERE a ten minute rule bill in the Commons to make St George’s Day and St David’s Day bank holidays in England and Wales respectively – And I would like to add my voice to his in support.

Although I call myself British, but my home and the land where my kids (one was born in the US the other in London) grew is England – plus if the tales are accurate it means as an immigrant I have more in common with St George than most.

The English are a great inclusive and empowering nation and deserve to once a year have a day in which to properly celebrate the best of what makes being English great, proud and united. Both neighboring nations, the Republic of Ireland and Scotland celebrate their respective Patron Saints its high time England and Wales did too.
