Shame on you!

We all suspected it happened and now, thanks to the pain in the neck that’s Wiki leaks, we have confirmation that it did happen!
Of course I’m talking about the release of the Lockerbie bomber, and the last administration, the Labour government and Gordon Brown – helping and assisting the Libyan government how to secure the release of Abdel Baset Ali Al Megrahi.
Many Labourites are saying the decision was purely the Scottish Government’s and it was them who signed Al Megrahi’s release. Scotland is a devolved nation; it has the right and the autonomy to make and carryout their own decisions, yadi yadi yada!
Spinning aside, if we want to get technical about the issue that’s all very true and they’ll be correct.
However, if we look at the incident from a moral and ethical sense or even from a dubiousness and cunningness sense it’s still not so straightforward. Also, if we look at the indignant “we’ll never do a thing like that cries” that came out of minsters back then. And when we see how, at that time, victim’s families on both sides of the Atlantic and the US government were appalled and pleaded for him not to be released even on compassionate grounds. Then we’ll see why having any part in this criminal’s release regardless on what grounds can not be anything but wicked.
All I can say to Brown, the Labour Party and everyone who had a hint of involvement in the matter, Shame on you! You didn’t just let everybody down but you let yourselves down and for that double Shame on you!
