"But I very much hope not. Who knows?”

The words that no doubt will re –re -reignite the Euro debate in weeks to come and the news I woke up to this morning and it was music to my ears!

Reading that William Hague has raised doubts about the future of the euro, was the sunshine of this dreary rather gray day – and not because of my personal feelings about the matter either!

Firstly, because Hague knows what he is talking about – besides he is not the kind of person who will say “Who knows” without knowing the full impact of saying it!

And secondly, it’s time the whole issue of Europe and the Euro is properly addressed, no half measures or undelivered promises. The time now is right for both sides of the arguments to be aired, and on balance for the first time both sides have an argument based on facts not economic predictions or forecasts.

But most of all more members, at the moment, are prepared to take a second, better and closer look at the whole European project and its viability.
