Is it time to say goodbye?

Europe has proved to be an expensive, selfish, unreasonable and arrogant partner to the UK. And although there are many benefits to being a member of the union – at late there is a growing feeling that the relationship between the two is not on an equal footing. That mood is bringing to the surface a sense of maybe it’s time to go it alone, because enough is enough!

The EU asking for 4.9% more at a time when every other budget in the country is being cut is a sign of disrespect and disregard for Britain and her people. It also confirms this relationship is a dysfunctional relationship, not one of equals, or built on mutual benefits between the two parties nor is it a relationship with a future.

The Prime Minster has recently indicated there will be no referendum on Europe during this parliament. But in light of a series of recent events and the unrealistic expectations and judgments by the EU and its subseries maybe there is cause to revisit that decision. Talk about an IN-Out Referendum might be a big step but it’s a step that might make Europe sit up and listen.

Well said. It is way beyond time the Conservative Party elite addressed the issue of the EU. The British people overwhelmingly indicate that they do not want to be in a political union with the EU. More and more Conservative members are deserting the Party (me included) and defecting to UKIP. I will not vote for a Party which refuses the British people the right to self-determination whilst preaching democracy in the Middle East and N.Africa.

The EU is un-Democratic; anti-Democratic and is bleeding this country dry whilst preventing us from properly returning to our original status as a global trading nation.

We never voted to join a political union. Successive Governments have defied the Will of the British people. At the very least, we should hold a fair IN/OUT Referendum (which the EU is prevented from influencing) and I believe we should get OUT.
